DEVICE FOR SIMULTANEOUS FLOORING AND LUSTING OF SOILS Object of the invention
The present invention relates to a device for washing and polishing floors, of the type of those which comprise a work plate intended to be coupled to the rotating head of a cleaning machine, said plate having means for the coupling at least one working element intended to act on the surface of the soil to be treated.
Antecedents of the invention.
Currently, are widely known on the market cleaning machines that have a rotating head on which is coupled a tray carrying specific work elements for performing soil washing. With the same cleaning machine, replacing the washing disc with a buffing disc and making one or more additional passes, the floors can be restored to shine.
Centers that occupy a large area, such as supermarkets, hospitals, warehouses, etc., usually have washing machines whose tray is equipped with a cleaning disc for performing the washing during its rotational movement and with the collaboration of water and / or cleaning products provided by the washing machine. This washing operation is normally carried out with a high frequency and even, often, every day.
However, with a higher or lower frequency and depending on the state of the soil, it is necessary to polish the soil, this operation assuming an additional cost washing.
Description of the invention
The device for the simultaneous washing and polishing of the floors, object of this invention, has features in its design to allow its adaptation to a conventional cleaning machine, that is to say it is provided with a rotating head, to simultaneously perform the washing and polishing of the soil, the latter being thus permanently maintained in a good state of conservation.
The advantages of using this device are obvious because, in addition to reducing the costs of ground maintenance, it allows to restore the ground a great brilliance without making it slippery.
Another of the advantages of this device is that it can be coupled to any washing machine, provided that it is provided with a rotating head, the washing and polishing operations being performed simultaneously. on all machines on the market, whatever they are.
According to the invention, this device comprises an elastic suspension placed between the working plate and the means for coupling the device to the rotating head of the cleaning machine, this suspension being provided to allow some rocking movement of the plate by to the head of the machine, in any direction, and keep the plate in a position parallel to the surface to be treated; this is why, said elastic suspension ensures that the work elements fixed to the plate act uniformly on the ground, thus performing a proper washing and polishing of the latter.
The turntable in question has, on its lower part, a washing disc which has windows in which are housed the polishing pellets, arranged so that the washing disc and the polishing tablets act simultaneously on the surface to be treated. .
In an example which will be described below, the turntable is provided on its lower part with means for the respective attachment of the interchangeable buffing lobes and washing disc, the washing and polishing of the soil being done during the rotation of the tray.
It has also been provided that the glazing pellets housed in the windows or reentrants of the wash disc can be attached directly to the wash disc via upper supports, the wash disc also being attached to the work tray.
These and other features, collected in the claims, will be more readily understood by viewing the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures attached thereto.

Preferred embodiment of the invention
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the device for simultaneous washing and polishing of the floors comprises means (1) for coupling the device or the rotating head of a cleaning machine, a elastic suspension (2) and a work plate (3) on which are mounted on the lower surface a washing disc (5) and polishing pellets (4).
In this specific embodiment, the coupling means (1) comprise an upper ring (11) provided with pins (12) for coupling them to the rotating head of the cleaning machine (not shown because it is a question of a conventional machine), said upper circle (11) being attached to a lower circle (13) which has a group of vanes (14) for attachment to an elastic suspension (2) which, in this particular embodiment, is represented by a rubber ring.
The upper circle (11) can be replaced by any other similar circle provided it is provided with pins (12) appropriate to the coupling system of the cleaning machine to which we will apply the device of the invention.
The work plate (3) has a group of fins (33) for attachment to the elastic suspension (2) with screws or the like, the group of fins (33) of the plate being angularly offset relative to the group of fins (14) of the lower circle (13), which allows the rocking movement of the plate in all directions through the elastic deformation of the material which is manufactured elastic suspension (2).
In the embodiment shown in Figures 1 to 4, the work plate (3) has on its lower surface coupling means (31, 32) for fixing a washing disc (5) and buffing pellets (4) respectively.
The coupling means (31) for fixing the washing disk (5) to the plate (3) are represented by strips whose contact closure is of the Velcro® type, although it can be of any other type, since this does not vary the essence of the invention.
The coupling means (32) provided on the work plate for fixing the polishing pellets (4) are represented by bases provided with a lateral opening for the introduction of the base (41) of the pellets. These pellets (4) will be composed, at least on the portion constituting the working surface, an abrasive material.
In this specific case, the base (41) of the polishing pellets have a hexagonal shape, as does the inner housing of the supports (32), which makes it possible to extract the pellets and to mount them in a different angular position in order to make the most of it, in case these pellets (2) wear out unequally.
The washing disc (5) is made of a spongy, slightly abrasive material, which makes it possible to clean and soften the microgrooves left by the polishing lozenges on the floor, retaining, in addition, the liquid and / or detergent used in cleaning, which provides proper cooling of the buffing tablets.
The washing disk (5) has on its periphery re-entrant (51a) arranged to coincide with the supports (32) to allow the passage of the pellets (4) so that, in the position of use, shown on 4, the working surfaces of the pellets (4) and the disc (5) are coplanar, which allows for simultaneous washing and polishing of the soil.
The polishing pellets perform a browning effect, keeping the pore of the soil surface open so that it is not slippery.
In the embodiment shown in Figures 5 to 9, the work plate (3) is slightly flat and has only coupling means (31) for fixing the washing disc (5) to said plate (3).
In this embodiment, the disk (5) has for the housing polishing pellets (4) longitudinal windows (51b), distributed circularly and at a distance from the outer contour of the washing disc (5), said pellets polishing material (4) being attached to the washing disc (5) via respective support pieces (42).
The support pieces (42) are slightly flat, of a larger area than the windows (51b) of the washing disc and have on their lower surface a peripheral portion provided with a large number of harpoons (43) directed towards the lower part and intended to sink on the washing disk (5) for fixing the respective tablet (4) during its use. The support members (42) have a downwardly projecting central portion (45) for receiving in the window (51b) of the wash disc (5).
The buffing pellets are fixed to said central portion (45) or directly or with the interposition of an intermediate layer of foam (44) damping which ensures that the pellet remains flat (4) with respect to the surface to be treated although the support piece (42) acquires a certain inclination. In this way, the working surfaces of the pellets (4) and the disk (5) remain coplanar during the use of the device.
After having described sufficiently the nature of the invention and having given a preferential example of realization, we point out to the opportune effects that the matter, the form, the size and the disposition of the elements described will be able to be modified, as long as this does not suppose no alteration of the essential features of the invention which are claimed hereinafter.
